The best way to get great links and readers

In the world of blogging to day there can be no avoiding the fact that quality links are the most important thing you can possibly have. Google, technorati and others count the value of what you have to say nto by the content but by the links it contains. It is (partly) for links that I am writting this article today but it is to share a way of getting links that is even better than writting articles.

This is a method of getting quality links is often missed by most people and over looked by SEO experts. It is missed because with the mind set focused only on getting it seems counter-intuative.

Think about the people who you like the most. What do you like about them? If you are honest part of your answer will be or indicate that they are nice to you.

As human beings we like people who like us. We are easily kind to those who are first kind to us. We share with those that have willingly shared and we spend time with people who spend time with us.

Human behaviour is blogging behaviour. There is no reason to think it stops at the keyboard and every reason to think it continues.

How many blogs have you seen where the blogger has been given a prominent review or link on another blog and has gone on to blog about it with links back?

Be generous with your praise and "link-love", focus your time on other people and go out of your way to be kind and friendly. The result will be that you will find the kindness returned.

An infinite number of schemes and techniques can out do the value of links gained in this way because with these links come visitors and readers looking at the source mentioned. These visitors are pre-qualified (to borrow a stupid sounding phrase) to be interested in your content. You can never buy that.
